Family Support

This Life Cambodia also works with families in the community who have a parent in prison. We build on the strengths of families, through development of income generation and healthcare strategies. Through this development of the capacity of families, children of prisoners are more able to continue their education. Children are also assisted with visiting their parent which helps maintain family connection and stability which will help their ability to engage in education.

This Life Beyond Bars works with families to achieve the following outcomes:

• More families with a caregiver in prison can cope financially
• More families with a caregiver in prison have health insurance
• More families can visit their family member in prison
• Less children of prisoners drop out of school
• More children of prisoners are reintegrated into school
